Why the IN HIM CONFESSION
Many Christians are living far beneath their rights and privileges as sons and daughters of God. They know in their hearts they are called to live free and victorious lives. But all too often they find themselves weak and defeated. Jesus gave us the key to living in continuous victory in Mark 11:23b “… (Whosoever) shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith”
This spiritual law called the law of confession rules us. We are where we are because of what we have been saying. The key to victory is to begin to say what God says about you. This “in Him” Confession consists of over 150 Bible verses of who we are In Him, what is ours In Him and what we can do In Him. Listen to and confess these scriptures until they become a reality in your life; and watch your world change.

I am justified (declared righteous) and in right standing with God. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed me from the penalty for my sins. There is therefore no condemnation to me because I am in Christ Jesus, and I walk not after the flesh, but after the spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. And I am a member of the body in Christ which has many parts, and we all belong to each other. I am called by God to be holy and he has made me holy by Christ Jesus. God has united me with Christ Jesus. For my benefit, God made him to be wisdom itself. Christ made me right with God; he made me pure and holy, and he freed me from sin. And because I belong to Christ, I have been given new life. And it is God who has enabled me and has commissioned me to stand firm in Christ. Thank God he has made me his captive and continues to lead me along in Christ’s triumphal procession. Now he uses me to spread the knowledge of Christ everywhere like a sweet perfume. Because I have believed in Christ, the veil has been removed. Since I am in Christ, I am a new creature. The old life is gone; a new life has begun. For God was in Christ, reconciling me to him, no longer counting my sins against me and he gave me this wonderful message of reconciliation. I have freedom in Christ Jesus for I am a child of God through faith in Christ Jesus. There is neither Jew nor Gentile, slave or free, male or female: for we are all one in Christ Jesus. For when I place my faith in Christ Jesus, there is no benefit in being circumcised or uncircumcised. What is important is my faith expressing itself in love. It doesn’t matter whether I have been circumcised or not. What counts is whether I have been transformed into a new creation. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who has blessed me with every spiritual blessing in Christ Jesus. And this is the plan: at the right time he will bring everything together under the authority of Christ – everything in heaven and on earth. For he has raised me from the dead and seated me with him in Heavenly places in Christ Jesus. I am God’s masterpiece. He has created me anew in Christ Jesus, so I can do the good things he planned for me long ago. Now I have been united with Christ Jesus. Once I was far away from God, but now I have been brought near to him through the blood of Christ. And this is God’s plan: both I and the Jews who believe the good news share equally in the riches inherited by God’s children. Both are part of the same body. And both enjoy the promises of blessings because we belong to Christ Jesus. I focus on this one thing: forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead. I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling me. So I tell others about Christ, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all the wisdom God has given me. I want to present them to God, perfect in their relationship to Christ. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First the Christians who have died will rise from their graves. I give thanks under all circumstances for I belong to Christ Jesus. He filled me with the faith and love that come from Christ Jesus. For God saved me and called me to live a holy life. He did this, not because I deserved it but because that was his plan from before the beginning of time – to show his grace through Christ Jesus. I will hold on to the pattern of wholesome teaching given to me – a pattern shaped by the faith and love that I have in Christ Jesus and I will be strong through the grace that God gives me in Christ Jesus. So I am willing to endure anything if it will bring salvation and eternal glory in Christ Jesus to those God has chosen. I have been taught the Holy Scriptures from childhood, and they have given me the wisdom to receive the salvation that comes by trusting in Christ Jesus. I am putting into action the generosity that comes from my faith as I understand and experience all the good things I have in Christ Jesus. For the things of the Lord are in me, and growing in me, making me more productive and useful in the knowledge of my Lord Jesus Christ. And because I remain in the teaching of Christ I have a relationship with both the Father and the Son. For in Him I live and move and exist. I am his offspring. In him was life and that life is the light in me. I believe in Him and therefore I have eternal life for all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding yes. And through Christ, my amen ascends to God for his glory. For he hath made him to be sin for me, who knew no sin, that I might be made the righteousness of God in him. Even before he made the world God loved me and chose me in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. And this is the plan: at the right time he will bring everything together under the authority of Christ – everything in heaven and on earth. Because I am one with Christ, I am righteous through faith in Christ. As I have received Jesus Christ, I will continue to follow him. I will let my roots grow down into him, and my life will be built on him. Then my faith will grow strong in the truth I was taught, and I will overflow with thankfulness. I am complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power. Because I completely love him, I will obey God’s word. That is how I know I am living in him. Because I live in God, I will live my life as Jesus did. I live in the new commandment that Jesus lived in because the darkness is past and the true light now shines. I have received the Holy Spirit and he lives within me. And he teaches me everything I need to know. I will remain in fellowship with Christ so that when he returns, I will be full of courage and not shrink back from him in shame. I am already God’s child, but he has not yet shown me what I will be like when Christ appears. But I do know I will be like him, for I will see him as he really is. And because I have this eager expectation, I will keep myself pure, just as he is pure. Jesus has taken away my sin, and there is no sin in him. Because I continue to live in him I will not sin. Since I obey God’s commandments, I remain in fellowship with him, and he with me. And I know he lives in me because the Spirit, he gave me lives in me. And God has given me his spirit as proof that I live in him and he in me. And I am confident he hears me whenever I ask for anything according to his will. And since I know he hears me when I make my requests, I also know that he will give me what I ask for. And I know that the Son of God has come, and he has given me understanding so that I can know the true God. And now I live in fellowship with the true God because I live in fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ. He is the only true God, and he is eternal life. I praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on me who belong to his dear Son. Once I was full of darkness, but now I am full of light from the Lord. So I will live as a person of light. I will be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. In whom I have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace. Because I am united with Christ, I have received an inheritance from God, for he chose me in advance, and he makes everything work out according to his plan. I have trusted and believed in Christ, and he has identified me as his own by giving me the Holy Spirit. We are carefully joined together in him, becoming a Holy temple for the Lord. Through Him, I am also being made part of this dwelling where God lives by his Spirit. Because of Christ and my faith in him I can now come boldly and confidently into God’s presence in whom I have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins. In Him lie hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. When I came to Christ, I was circumcised but not by a physical procedure. Christ performed a spiritual circumcision – the cutting away of my sinful nature. I love Him even though I have never seen Him. Even though I do not see him now I trust him; and I rejoice with a glorious inexpressible joy. I am made right with God because I place my faith in Jesus Christ. The sin of Adam brought death to me but, God’s wonderful grace is greater and his gift of forgiveness he gave to me through Jesus Christ. Adam’s sin caused death to rule over me. But God’s grace and his gift of righteousness which is greater will cause me, because I have received it, to triumph over sin and death through Jesus Christ. Adam’s one sin brought condemnation to me, but Christ’s one act of righteousness brought me a right relationship with God and a new life. Because one person disobeyed God, I became a sinner. But because one person obeyed God, I am made righteous. I died to the power of the law when I died with Christ. And now I am united with the One who raised me from the dead. As a result, I can produce a harvest of good deeds for God. Now that I belong to Christ Jesus, he has given me gifts. I have been reconciled to God by Jesus Christ. And God has given me the task of reconciling people to him. I am made right with God by faith in Jesus Christ, not by obeying the law. God decided in advance to adopt me into his own family by bringing me to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. All my needs are supplied for according to (from his) glorious riches, which have been given to me in Christ Jesus. May I always be filled with the fruits of righteousness produced in my life by Jesus Christ – for this will bring much glory and praise to God. All praise to God, the Father of my Lord Jesus Christ. It is by His great mercy, that I have been born again, because God raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Now I live with great expectation. I am a living stone that God is building into his spiritual temple. I am a holy Priest, offering spiritual sacrifices through Jesus Christ that please God. In His kindness, God called me to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after I have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen me, and he will place me on a firm foundation. In everything I am enriched by him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge. I know there is only one God, the Father who created everything, and I live for him. And there is only one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom God made everything and through whom I have been given life. For through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see – such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him. He existed before anything else and he holds all creation together. And through him God reconciled me to himself. All that I say or do, I do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father. Because I came to God through Him, he is able once and forever to save me. He lives forever to intercede with God on my behalf. Therefore, I will offer through Jesus a continual sacrifice of praise to God proclaiming my allegiance to his name. Through Christ I have come to trust in God. And I have placed my faith and hope in God because he raised Christ from the dead and gave him great glory. The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God, and he sustains everything (including me) by the word of his power. When he had cleansed me from my sins, he sat down on the right hand of the majestic God in heaven. Once for all time he has removed sin by his own death as a sacrifice. So, Christ has now become the High Priest over all the good things that have come. He has entered into that greater, more perfect tabernacle in heaven, which was not made by human hands and is not part of this created world. With his own blood – not the blood of goats and calves – he entered the most holy place once for all time and secured my redemption forever. I can boldly enter heaven’s most holy place because of the blood of Jesus. Because of his death, Jesus opened a new and life giving way through the curtain and into the most holy place. Just think how much more the blood of Christ will purify my conscience from sinful deeds so that I can worship the living God. For by the power of the eternal Spirit, Christ offered himself to God as a perfect sacrifice for my sin. That is why he is the one who mediates a new covenant between God and me. So that I can receive the eternal inheritance God has promised me. For Christ died to set me free from the penalty of the sins I have committed. But if I am living in the light, as God is in the light, then I have fellowship with Him, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses me from all sin. Because of my faith, Christ has brought me into this grace (undeserved Privilege) where I now stand, and I confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory. I rejoice in God through my Lord Jesus Christ through whom I have now received reconciliation. As for me, may I never boast about anything except the cross of my Lord Jesus Christ. Because of that cross, my interest in this world has been crucified and the world’s interest in me has also died. He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love. And they are connected to Christ, the head of the body. For he holds the whole body together with its joints and ligaments, and it grows as God nourishes it. My life is a Christ-like fragrance rising up to God. I press on to possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed me. For these rules are only shadows of the reality yet to come. For Christ himself is that reality. The Lord will give me an inheritance as my reward, and the master I am serving is Christ. This is the message we heard from Jesus and now declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all. But I have received the Holy Spirit, and he lives within me, so I don’t need anyone to teach me what is true. For the Spirit teaches me what I need to know, and what he teaches is true – it is not a lie. So just as he has taught me, I will remain in fellowship with Christ. Since I have been made right in God’s sight by faith, I have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ my Lord has done for me. I can rejoice in my wonderful new relationship with God because my Lord Jesus Christ has made me friends with God. I count myself dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. Thank God, he gives me victory over sin and death through my Lord Jesus Christ. I am no longer a slave but God’s own child. And since I am his child, God has made me his heir. Christ redeemed me from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for me, for it is written “cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree”. He redeemed me in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith, I might receive the promise of the Spirit. Throughout the coming ages God can point to me as an example of the incredible wealth of his grace and kindness toward me, as shown in all he has done for me who is united with Christ Jesus. I will not worry about anything; instead, I will pray about everything. I will tell God what I need and thank him for all he has done. Then I will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything I can understand. His peace will guard my heart and mind as I live in Christ Jesus. For I can do everything through Christ who gives me strength. For God’s will was for me to be made holy by the sacrifice of the Body of Jesus Christ, once for all time. Now may the God of peace – who brought up from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, and ratified an eternal covenant with his blood – may He equip me for all I need in doing his will. May he produce in me, through the power of Jesus Christ, every good thing that is pleasing to him. All glory to him for ever and ever! Amen. God sent his son into the world not to judge the world but to save the world through him. And since I have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall I be saved from God’s wrath through him. In all these things I am more than a conqueror through him who loved me. God showed how much he loved me by sending his one and only son so that I might have eternal life through him. And since I died with Christ, I know I will also live with him. I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body I live by faith in the Son of God who loves me and gave himself for me. Even when I was dead in transgressions, he made me alive with Christ – it is by grace I have been saved. I have died with Christ, and I have been set free from the spiritual powers of this world. Therefore, I will not keep on following the rules of the world. Since I have been raised to new life with Christ, I will set my sights on, my heart on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. For I have died to this life, and my real life is hidden with Christ in God. For I died and was buried with Christ by baptism and just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father now I may also have a new life. I know that my old sinful self was crucified with Christ so that sin might lose it’s power in my life. I am no longer a slave to sin. Since he did not spare even his own Son but, gave him up for me, won’t he also give me everything else? Although he was crucified in weakness he now lives by the power of God. I too am weak, just as Christ was, but I am alive with Him and have God’s power. For I was buried with Christ when I was baptised. And with him I was raised to new life because I trusted the mighty power of God, who raised Christ from the dead. I was dead because of my sins and because my sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made me alive with Christ, for He forgave all my sins. He cancelled the record of the charges against me and took it away by nailing it to the cross. In this way, he disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over then on the cross. When Christ, who is my life, is revealed to the whole world, I will share in all his glory. This is a trustworthy saying: If I die with him, I will also live with him: If I endure hardship, I will reign with him. If I deny him, he will deny me. Jesus lives because of the living Father who sent him; in the same way, because I feed on him, I will live because of him. Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth and the life”. I came to the Father through Jesus. Because I eat his flesh and drink his blood, he remains in me and I in him. Jesus is in his Father, and I am in Jesus, and Jesus is in me. I will remain in Jesus and he will remain in me. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine. And I cannot be fruitful unless I remain in him. Yes, Jesus is the vine, I am a branch. As I remain in him, and he in me, I will produce much fruit. For apart from him I can do nothing. But if I remain in him and his words remain in me, I can ask for anything I want and it will be granted! When I produce much fruit, I am his true disciple. This brings great glory to his Father. He has told me all this so that I may have peace in him. Here on earth, I will have many trials and sorrows. But I will take heart, because Jesus has overcome the world. Jesus has loved me even as the Father has loved me. I will remain in his love. For where two or three come together in his name, he is there with us. And these signs will follow me because I believe; in his name I will cast out devils; I will speak with new tongues; I will be able to handle snakes with safety; and if I drink any deadly thing, it will not hurt me: I shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. I can ask for anything in his name and he will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father. Yes, I can ask for anything in his name, and he will do it. Whatsoever I shall ask the Father in Jesus’ name, he will give it to me. Ask, and I shall receive that my joy may be full. I am cleansed, I am washed, I am sanctified, I am holy, I am justified, in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of God.
